To meet the nutritional needs of households directly, through our quality farm products; and indirectly, by providing farmers with access to budget-size quality feeds and technical support for high production and profitability. .
Oluwaseyi Dara is a professional farmer with about a decade’s practical experience in the poultry industry.
He is the Founder/ Team lead of George Dara Enterprises. An organization that explores the poultry value chains from Primary Production, processing, feed production and consultancy.
What we do
Our Poultry Feed Business builds on an existing and cordial relationship with local farmers in sourcing for maize, soya beans, wheat-offal and other crops. This is in a bid to strengthen the backward integration of the economy.
We align our practices with internationally recognized principles for the welfare of animals in the livestock production system as set out by the World Organization for Animal Health. Hence, standard proportions of raw materials are used to produce feeds for layers, growers, broilers. Basically, we:
- Sell raw materials
- Sell feed for growers and layers
Our Poultry Farm Business deals in egg and meat production. We produce pullets, layers and few-weeks-old broilers. Furthermore, because of the constant and increasing demand for processed chicken, we have an inbuilt and hygienic dressing room where we produce well-dressed chicken for consumption. Basically, we:
- Supply day-old chicks
- Sell poultry equipment
- Sell live and dressed chicken
Since one of our major missions at George Dara Enterprises is to bridge the skill gap and create an alternative livelihood in our community; we created a project that will empower youths and women to start sustainable agribusinesses. We have a team of well-trained farmers who proffer appropriate solutions to a variety of farming problems. At GDE, farm development is a top priority; hence, we also help poultry farmers and other agriculturists to develop their farms and businesses. Basically, we offer consultation for:
- Farm development and management
- Poultry farming
- Supply of birds and equipment
